I knew today's post would be about what I am thankful for. I did, however, have much hesitation on how to start out...until I found this quote:
Thanksgiving is a time to cast aside the gloom and pessimism
and look to the things that have gone right in the last year.
It turns out there are lots of things going right in America today.
So here's Tracey's list of things I'm most grateful for Thanksgiving 2014:
- God - He is my #1. If I did not have God and the Catholic Church, I would be lost. Both have helped guide me through many difficult times. I may joke about things like Catholic Guilt, but in all honesty I couldn't imagine my life without my faith in God
- Family - yes all of them. Thanks to my husband, Jim, and all he has done for me and for his country. Thanks to his countless years of flying jets for the US Navy. Thanks for providing for our family . Thanks for giving me numerous beautiful homes. Thanks for staying with me all these year. Thanks to my four children for always trying their best and for telling me that they love me each and every day. Thanks to my parents. Thanks to my sister, Teresa. Thanks to my Husband's family.
- Friends - I'm happy to say that I could fill this page up and more with friends...but I'll just list a few as I'm suppose to be talking about things I'm thankful for this year. I'm thankful for my sister Teresa, Gina M., Gina C., Becky, Kathy H, Eileen O, Valerie K,, Roxie M., Lynn L., Jill G., Erin W., Lisa R., Marsha S., Jane M., Ann H., Nancy K. Terri K. Colleen O., .... and so many more
- My health!
- That the US Stock market is high, making all smart investors a little more wealthier.
- Gas prices are below $3
- Al Gore was totally off the mark on Global Warming.
- We can now eat fat because some fats are actually good for you.
- Last but not least, that I live in America. Truly the best country in the world. We have the Declaration of Independence which gives us "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." We also have the Constitution, which is the fundamental framework of America's system of government. We are a Republic built up on both, and I pray that our country and our elected officials continue to realize the importance of both.
God Bless America
