This is a great website.  It lists all types of legitimate work-at-home jobs.  You can subscribe to their email to get up-to-date job listings for companies all over the US.

2.  Secret Shopping
I've done secret shopping for over 5 years.  I love it.  Whenever my family wants to go out for a nice meal, I just log onto one of the sites and pick up a "job" for the night.  I've done everything from retail, to oil changes, to bowling.  Everything under the sun.  And don't forget to include mileage on your taxes.
There are lots of secret shopping companies out there.  Make sure you never pay to become a secret shopper.

3.  Ebay
Yes, really, Ebay is a great way to get rid of all the "stuff" you don't need before the holidays.  Heck, I just went through my house and came up with two tubs of clothes that had never been worn and still had the tags on.  I took pictures and sold them in less than 5 days.  I made enough money for a tank of gas [in my full size van], which is better than nothing.
